Solutions with steel springs and polyurethane Wheels
The AVO range includes several configurations of shock-absorbing Castors, available with steel springs and polyurethane Wheels, to meet the most diverse application requirements. Steel springs offer long service life and maintain consistent performance over time, making them ideal for applications requiring structural reliability.
Key parameters for selection
To correctly select a shock-absorbing Wheel, three main parameters must be evaluated:
- Preload force: the initial force applied to the spring to activate the suspension function. The spring only acts once this threshold is exceeded.
- Final force: the force required to fully compress the spring up to the mechanical stop.
- Maximum travel: the height difference between the rest position and the fully compressed position.
The ideal static load corresponds approximately to 50% of the spring’s final force; under this condition, the system provides optimal damping performance.
