Thread guards
Thread guards are accessories fitted to Wheels to prevent threads, hair, cords, or other debris from winding around the hub and axle. This protective element helps maintain smooth rolling, reduces premature wear, and prevents accidental blocking during rotation. Generally made of zinc-plated steel, stainless steel, or technical plastics, thread guards are particularly suitable for trolleys used in hospitals, food industry facilities, and laboratories where maximum hygiene and reliability are required. In addition to extending Wheel life, they simplify maintenance operations and reduce downtime.
Directional locks
Directional locks are accessories fitted to swivel castors that allow temporary blocking of the bracket rotation, turning the swivel castor into a fixed castor. This function improves stability and control of the trolley when moving in a straight line, especially over long distances. The lock can be engaged quickly and easily using a lever or pedal, enabling the operator to select the most suitable driving mode. Directional locks are particularly useful on industrial transport trolleys, handling equipment, and in all cases where maneuverability must be combined with precise directional control.
Foot guards
Foot guards are safety devices mounted on castor brackets to protect the operator’s feet from accidental impacts during trolley handling. Made of steel or impact-resistant plastics, they are installed at the lower part of the bracket, just a few millimetres above the floor, to deflect obstacles and prevent the foot from being trapped under the Wheel. Foot guards are widely used in industrial and logistics applications, as well as in any context where operator safety is a top priority.
